Congrats on making the decision. When we were in the buying stage, I wanted EFI and the smaller Hondas didn't have that at the time... so, we went with a single. If I were making the decision today, I might choose differently. Having said that, we have been delighted with our set-up with the single.
Now, regarding electronics... well, kinda the same thing. At the time we bought our boat, Garmin was just getting into upscale marine electronics and Raymarine had been in the game a long time and was well-proven. Yep, we went with the E-series Raymarine and have VERY pleased with that. Again, making that same decision today, I think either would be a good choice. We DO like the integrated chartplotter/radar/sounder/auto-pilot/VHF... and that also wasn't a choice from Garmin at the time. We've had Garmin GPS/chartplotters on other boats, so the Raymarine was a slight learning curve in 2006 when we make the choice. These days, I think you can't go wrong with either. So, when you've made your choice, put it in, and go out and really enjoy your new boat! :thup
Congratulations again.
Best wishes,
Jim B.
