Has anyone added a tower to there boat, would love to hear the pro's & con's.
I think it would be an ideal addition if you fish alot and would also be nice to steer from when entering or leaving a crowded dock with the added vis.
I have found several inexpensive one's for center console's with very little drag or weight, under 200lb or less without sunbrella.

I sure would talk to the factory about doing it. It is not just the weight of the tower--but that of the person up there--and the weight is not just at the top of the cabin, it is several feet above the top. The Tom Cat is a narrrow beamed cat to begin with. I think it would adversely affect stability. I have an air conditioner and occasionally put the inflatable up there--total weight of these is about 140 lbs, and the center of this mass is only about 7" off the cabin top. A lot different than 400 lbs which is 3 feet above the cabin top. Also windage is increased both foreward and lateral.

I have seen several tuna tower boats roll over in the right conditions--I think that the Tom Cat would be susceptable to that....
