To Marc and all the other C-Brat folks in the Apalachicola area:

I see Tropical Storm Claudette is 40 miles south of you, blowing 50 mph right now, and heading your way. Our thoughts are with you that she will wuss out. Batten down the hatches, double up the dock lines, and keep your head down. This one came up mighty fast.

Jim B.

You can take the boy out of the Gulf coast, but we're still keeping an eye out.

We are docked at the Port St Joe Marina waiting out Claudette. We stopped here on Friday and plan to continue to Apalachicola on Monday. We hope Claudette is out of here by then. Our CD-25 seems to be riding OK so far as it is about 5 pm. Electricity is still on so the air conditioning is still working. We have plenty to eat. I have 10 dock lines out and 4 fenders so I hope this will be enough. It is supposed to pass Tyndall Air Force Base about 8 pm and that is past us. The boat swings some.

Jim, Thanks for the thoughts ! It was luckily a mostly non event here , but was a very sudden formation .A couple trees down , some sand in places on the beach that will get sand in a storm ,a little debris blowing around, but for me a relaxing day home with my wife with no pressure to go fishing or diving or working , just a quiet day at home. Did check the gen and such , but all is well . Thanks for thinking of us .
Ill look forward to saying hi to Dave !

Had a visit from a C Brat today , He spoke with Buzz who didnt get his name, He is from Utah and had to go before I was done with my phone call . If you read this I wasnt trying to ignore, just jabbering about boats on the phone .My apologies.
Marc

Dave- We were at Port St Joe marina sat night. We saw Charity & we were going to come over & introduce ourselves but saw no activity at the boat.We had been scalloping in the Bay but decided to leave for home early Sunday when we found out about Claudette.Glad to hear the storm wasn't to bad.

Alan, we probably were in the Dock Side Cafe at PSJ eating shrimp. Sorry we missed you.

Marc, after 3 days of rain, rain, rain, and everything wet we decided to come on home and miss Apalachicola this trip, however we will be back.

Dave , you did pick a particularly wet and windy weekend to come this way ! Sorry we missed you , we arent too far from Gulf Coast Gathering time though........
