Tow rig parking in the PNW

Two that I've dealt with recently were in Olympia in the south and Bellingham up north. Swantown at Olympia gets $3/night for vehicle/trailer, $5 to launch. Check at the office. Bellingham, Squalicum Harbor, parking is free. For more than three nights, you can get a pass in their office... again, free. Storage parking is across the street from the day parking. $5 to launch. No problems that I'm aware of at either place.

Best wishes,

I believe if you get in touch with the Chamber of Commerce in most towns they will point you in the right direction. I contacted Anacortes a few years back and they directed me to Washington Park, ramp and parking fee information. Most all have web sites.

I have always used the John Wayne Marina for crossing to Canada or the San Juans--seems quite secure. We left our large boat there for three winters and no problems--but an RV was broken into off Sequim Bay Road. The reason we use this area is primarly that we have friends in Sequim--but it gets you right out into the Straits if you want that experience.

how is the boat repair looking?
We've had good luck leaving our rig at Swantown in Oly, Everret ramp, Washington Park and Twin Bridges in Anacortes. Around these parts (not to suggest you shouldn't try towing your boat any farther north than Longview) I've had no issues with leaving the truck at Kalama & the price is right.
This is a pretty good site when it works- http://www.iac.wa.gov/maps/presentation ... y&Area=ALL

The great thing about this site is the supply of local knowledge. If you have a destination in mind, there is always somebody around there that can give you the inside poop on places to launch and park

B-C, I think that the boat hull is OK, the damage to the trailer is minor, but both engine's need a new pan (the cast piece the actual motors are mounted in). I'll contact Sportcraft Marine tomorrow to see what the final diagnosis is.

I would really agree on Cornet Bay, Deception pass. It is usually such an easy run over to Lopez, and the parking seems pretty secure. A lot of people use it for parking.
