Tomcat 255 "Destiny" Arrives in Vermont

Our new 2009 C-Dory Tomcat 255 "Destiny" was delivered to Lake Champlain, Vermont - arrived this morning. What a treat. Delivery arranged for by Wefings. Flawless trip. Water temp ~45 degrees here. Let the summer begin ....

I've got 100 nautical miles on my GPS so far this season (just put in a few weeks ago). The weekend weather is looking down down here - hopefully you guys will have the same!
 
Launched Saturday - spent the first night aboard at the marina then out on the lake for a quick cruise Sunday. Quiet lunch anchored in a deserted bay. Life is good ....

Where do you plan to cruise this summer? Just got through reading a cruising guide for the other coast, and you have a lot of choices: St Lawrence, Eire Canal, Maine coast. Good luck.

We've been cruising the area up to Montreal + the Thousand Islands and down to New York for years. Looking forward to branching out with the Tom Cat.

Will spend much of the summer here on Lake Champlain getting used to the boat. Two scheduled off lake trips - Montreal and the lower part of the Ottawa River for a three day weekend the end of this month then a weekend on Lake Memphamagog.

Many ideas for future travels - East coast of New England, Chesapeake, Erie Canal, and many more.

Life is really good :-)

A great looking boat Peter! The access hatches aft into the sponsons are considerably larger than the ones in earlier TCs. I'm thinking of replacing ours.

Marc, can you tell me or can anyone tell me the dimensions of these access hatches?
