Naptime has finally made it onto the waters of Lake Texoma and I wanted thank the Brat community for all their help. It is a great boat and the forum has provided priceless guidance and advice.

This is my first boat so I still don't think I even realize everything I don't know at this point. We have been taking it slow and getting a feel for how she handles.

Thanks again

Mitch

The saddest fact of getting into most boating endeavors is that you have to buy a boat to do it. Rental options are poor, especially for C-Dorys. So you end up on a steep learning curve hoping your inexperience won't intersect with disaster too quickly. This site does a remarkable job of watching out for newbies that ask for assistance. And the C-Dory is a boat that seems to suffer fools well. Congratulations on your purchase and remember that most of us were in your shoes once.

Nice looking boat with an unusual color scheme. Welcome to the CBRATS. You will learn more info than you ever thought there was about boating.
The most important thing is......."DON'T FORGET THE PLUG". Everything else is secondary....!!!!
Enjoy your new boat.

Good for you two! Everyone starts at the same point - you have a great boat and many great adventures ahead. Have fun and keep us posted.

Best wishes,
Jim & Joan

is that a black hull with white bottom paint? or just a very large stripe? either way I like it very very much!

I'm also in agreement with Chuck. I read and researched and talked as much as possible then finally figured I'd have to learn the rest on the water :)

we took a lot of baby steps and had a great time. from fresh water to salt water, to one night stays at a marina dock, to sleeping on the hook. just work your way up, the C-Dory is a GREAT boat. 8)

Hey, you guys will do great. You're already experienced. You will do fine.
