Thanks to all that responded to my post about a bimini top. I think I found what I need for my 22 ft angler ....To leave some room , I plan on getting a 4ft long top that will just reach the cabin top by the door .I plan on lowering it to the rear so it will be out of the way if I hook up.There will be a small open space by door to cabin. Next I would like to know if anyone has boated the Sacramento River delta in Calif.I am considering going there next spring or early summer for one week or so. Can anyone tell me what to be prepared for ie; bugs, sites , etc. I am still trying to get use to this site. It would be easier if I was a teenager!!!lol

Sign up for the Delta/Bay Extravaganza--Jim Gibson puts this on yearly and it is truly one of the greatest of the great C Brat Cruises! We have only done this twice, but there are some who do it each year.

Do a search, there have been a number of threads on favorite places. The marina at Rio Vista is a great place to launch. There is also a state park across the river, nearby. My personal favorite is "locke Slough"--some others have another name for it.

Hal Schell's Dawlling on the Delta is a great book for planing. Also get the small craft chart or the on line version--print it out and tape it together for planing.

The Meadows, Potatoe Slough are also favorite stops. We have spent about 4 months total on the Delta--over a period of a number of years. It is a great place--just watch your water, currents and snags. We have screens and mosquito repellants, but not a great problem. Catch some Craw Fish, fresh black berrys, Wild Asparragus etc...wonderful place.

I really appreciate the info about the delta .I will start gathering what you suggested soon. Looks like a fun place to spend some time .. Tom--"CMAG"
