This message is simply to say thanks to everyone here for making this place so great. A lot of people say this is the best boating site on the web; I am thinking it might be the best one, period. I don’t spend a lot of time on forums other than C-Brats. Maybe it is the memory of being kicked off of the first one I ever joined, but I think it has to do with how spoiled I am by the folks here.

I have tried to be a little more outgoing and expand my interaction with people who share my interests but I never seem to fit in anywhere else. With the help of a regional fishing group I long ago found I am not smart enough to catch any real fish, so I don’t visit those guys much anymore. I recently signed onto a forum for owners of a particular car model and I find myself wishing I could edit their front page to add the Just Be Nice admonition. What a bunch of – or more correctly, within the group there is a very vocal bunch of – arrogant people who are so much smarter than all the others. I am afraid to ask a question because if it is addressed in the owner’s manual and I failed to look or somehow missed it I will be vilified. And if a word is spelled incorrectly or a fact misstated – whoa, look out.

So thank you all very much. Carry on.

I do kind of miss some of the Fishwisher photos and such. Seems like a long time ago. I think he had a hard time with some of the kidding! Good thing you just have 1 rule. Thanks for your efforts on keeping this site going. C-Dory should have long ago given you a commission.😌😌
 
This site just needs a "like" or "thumbs up" like facebook has... lol. This is a great site. I've learned a lot from here as well. Colby
 
I totally agree. This is a great site and a great bunch of guys! Treasure trove of C Dory knowledge and just plain marine knowledge in general.

I'm a member of some of the other sites, as some of you know! Lol. (The Hull Truth, DowneastBoats etc). The Hull Truth is a LOT of drama with some knowledge mixed in. Usually the drama wins out....I've already got some folks over there who aren't very "fond" of me. Hehe

Mike, back at you with a boat load of thanks & appreciation for being such a large portion of the reason this site is as friendly & good as it is & to my other fellow C-Brats more thanks for the friendship given, knowledge shared & all the good times I've enjoyed on this site or in your company

I've just finished after 2 and a half years setting up the Queen, everyones C Dory knowledge combined with their lives around boats has made my project a real success. Fuel tank, and Davit were the two big items I know I only would have solved with the help of my friends here. Frequent reading always plants seeds for ideas. A most sincere thank you to everyone. :rainbow
 
What a great post, Mike! I have to say, this is the best site on the web that I have found. And you can count on me to keep us supplied with plenty of questions to which I should already know the answer! :)

Having belonged to many forums over the years, including aviation, tractor, automotive, RV'ing, fishing, and financial, my two favorite forums of all time are the C-Brats and the Bogleheads. When it comes to courtesy, help, and caring, no one else comes close.

Mike and Bill, Thanks you two for the best site on the internet. I don’t know how you do it but whatever you’re doing, I’d say it’s working….great ( Hey Colby they have these ………. :thup :thup :D :hug :hug2 :smiled )

I spend 95% of my internet time here. The rest of it is just a jumbled scrambled bunch of poop-ups and failed searches. I’ve looked at some other forums, other areas of interest and such but C-BRATS wins out every time.

The rule is simple and the folks are great. This place is family and information is golden.

So Mike, (and Bill), right back to you. AND all the best for another year, Happy 2016.

Thank you Mike and Bill, and for that matter all of you. The success and demeanor of a board only reflect its members. And from what I have met so far it is clear why this is the friendliest and most helpful board I am on.
 
C-Brats is without question the "Best" boater web site on the internet.
It is informative, and easy to navigate.
And it is a "Great" resource to buyers, owners, and sellers.
Thanks to the people who have made it the "best".
