In case anyone is curious to see a Vulcan 6 (13lbs) vs Vulcan 9 (20lbs) vs Mantus M2 (17lbs), I printed out the templates and took many photos. I used a standard Sharpie marker for scale, and in each tabletop picture I point it at the parts of the anchors I’m lining up for comparison.

I didn’t attach them to cardboard, and it’s very windy today, so my bow roller pictures are to be taken very (very) loosely-informational only (more like rumors). That said, I think the Vulcan 6 is the only one that would fit in my standard bow roller— likely need to make a taller harp (word?) on top. Maybe the 9 would, too, I just couldn't do it today.

Note also the Mantus M2 skinny parts on the top right of the scoop/spade. Interesting design. Also note this is not the performance model; there was not a template to download for those yet, and I didn’t care enough to email or search harder.

I'm not adding any other color to this post, just templates because I was curious.

TEMPLATE PICTURES ALBUM

Oops! We ran into some problems.

You do not have permission to view this page or perform this action. (From your link "template pictures album". Do mean the "bail "on the roller assembly?

Try now. Apparently new albums default to "only album owner" can view. I changed it to registered members.

I would want the anchor to be self launching. It does not appear that the Valcan, as you have it pictured, even if the bail were higher, would self launch. Were you going to put the templets on wood, and try that? You may need an articuating anchor pulpit.

I originally was going to mount them on heavy cardboard, but figured it better to choose the anchor first and modify/replace the roller second, facing whatever reality comes in the mail.

How about the self launching of the anchor?
