Tell 'em "Hi!"

Tim and Mary, the great couple from California who bought Wild Blue two years ago (where did that time go??) are launching at Anacortes and will be cruising north. Tell 'em "Hi!" if you see them out there.

Tim and I still participate on a sailing forum and have regular exchanges there. He and Mary are a fun couple, so show 'em some C-Brat friendliness if you come across them in the San Juans, the Gulf Islands, Desolation Sound, and maybe the Broughtons.

Best wishes,
Jim

While new here, I'm not a stranger to either owners of Wild Blue.
and you won't find nicer people. But you meet the nicest people on a C-Dory

Bud

Tim and Mary are nice... better keep an eye on Bud. He recently bought and sold a motor sailor. After asking about a C-Dory. Maybe he has come to his senses?

Sitting on South Beach right now (not Miami - the one on San Juan Island)... Having a picnic with the Blonde on a lovely day off. 8)

Tim, we won't be seeing you & Mary out there, so a Hi from us here in Wyoming & wishes for a fun & save cruise will have to do until our paths cross again.

Jay

Hi back at you Jay. It was so great to follow your posts from the north. You and Jolene are the epitome of full on cruisers. It is what I want to be when I grow up. Be sure to let us know if you get down our way.

We would, except I have been trying to make it up to the Broughtons for years, so until that happens........we are on a mission!

Sounds like you are also on a schedule? We think schedules are the bane of relaxed cruising! Getting to the Broughtons three days later wouldn't be so bad! Oh, well, enjoy!

Hey, Kettle, aren't you the same guy who went to Alaska in about a week, then had someone else bring the boat back? Judge not - we all pick our own path... and timing.

Tim, Pat is also a friend; a friend who once told me, "I don't want to retire - I love what I do" when he and I were discussing our style of retired cruising. He changed his squeeze-it-in attitude after he retired. By "Oh, well, enjoy!", he probably meant: Sounds like you'll have a lot of fun while we're tied to the dock.

Tim and Mary have a great active lifestyle - ask them sometime about their recent biking through the mountains adventure.

I'll miss the Bellingham gathering, 'cause I AM on a schedule ("fun summer jobs") for 3 more work weeks. Hope all you Brats at Bellingham have a wonderful weekend there!

Best wishes,
Jim

It was a treat to see Tim and Mary - and Wild Blue - today! We had a nice visit on their boat, then out for a late lunch (that sounds less old-folksy than: an early dinner  ). Fun to catch up with them.

The four of us with Wild Blue...

Yeah, Wild Blue's classic lines still turn my head.

Having a great time cruising north, Tim and Mary!
