Tandem needed...

Just looking for a used but good condition BUNK tandem trailer for a 1988 22 cruiser recently purchased. Thought I'd give this a shot before buying new one, I just don't want to wait for 16-18 weeks that most companies have as a time frame for building. Prefer (ideal) within Washington or Oregon state. :D

Might be worth a call to Sportcraft and ask if they have any used trailers. Might be they have something that they could set up for a C-Dory. They do know C-Dory's.

Unless it's just a yard trailer, you just can't beat new. Sometimes I wonder how they get so much money for them, but nothing good is cheap and never has been.

I’d post a wanted ad on Craigslist and the C-Dory Facebook group. Mine was picked up by 22 owner and since it was for a 25 it worked without adjustments.

Kaelc, I'm curious what brand trailer (for the 25) it was that you sold. Also, bunk or roller? For some brands that could be a good fit (EZ Loader, becasue they have short bunks), for others it might be way off -- Pacific for instance where the bunks come out full length to the transom. That would leave bunks extended an extra 3 feet, or moving back the winch post to center the weight, would still leave extra extended bunks, aft.

Found one in Seattle yesterday, just have to replace bunks.
Thanks sleepy C for the pic, that's what I need. It pulls down I 5 smoothly, hydraulic disks on all 4, stainless hubs, bearing buddies all around. No rust anywhere to be found. And all the LED lights worked! lucky find. $2k

Terrific, glad you found it and all is good. Bunks are easy. Doug Fir, carpet, stainless bolts, washers and nuts. Should be good.

Sounds like a great deal.

Here are the details on the trailer that I had for future reference, undersized in my opinion for a 25 but it worked. Maybe if you had a single main and not a lot of accessories it would work but even the tire size was small for the weight we were dragging around. After a day of fishing changing a flat is not fun while your family waits in the car :)

I really need to move back that way again. A trailer for 2k here means you disconnect it from the truck ball at the launch, take it to a deep spot, unsecure it from the boat, and watch it sink. Plus, it is just stupid cold here this time of year....and rains all summer....gross!

I think that is the deal of the year. I looked everywhere for a trailer for a 25 with EOH and nothing under 6 grand and that need 3k of work! Saw a very cheap property in Port Angeles for sale last week on Facebook marketplace….

If you are using that trailer it is way undersized. The average 25 weight is in the 7000# + range. I doubt that there is a 25 out there which is 5400# including the engine.
