Tabman

I just was reviewing some of the back posts on The Hull Truth. Tabman has been a contributor to many forums as a representative of Benett Trim Tabs. Sometime around the 14th of June, He had a ruptured brain aneurysm and had been in a coma until the 26th of June.

This was posted yesterday: Tabman has been moved out of ICU! Of course, he is still very tired, but when he is awake he is speaking and understands what is happening around him.

Just thought I would let folks know. Although Tabman was not a C Dory owner, he was always available and answered questions about any trim tabs no matter what brand on our forum as well as others.

Our prayers for his swift full recovery.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks of Tabman as a true gem. I have had some issues with the installation of my trim tabs and he's always been just an e-mail away (the kind of guy who writes back to you on Sunday evening, even though you were just figuring you'd get your e-mail in for Monday morning). He'd always make sure to let people know that he actively wanted to hear back from them about how it was going, and it was obvious he was going to help you to get your problem solved (and if it required parts from Bennett, send them along!). Pretty obviously one of the good guys in "real life" too.

Tabman will be in my thoughts.

I'm sorry to hear Tabman (Tom) is ill, and will be hoping and praying for his speedy recovery.

He is a well loved contributor in the boating industry and I'm sure all that have known him and his work wish for his complete return to his personal health, his family, and our boating community.

He is one of the lucky ones. Good to hear he is making a recovery. Prayers for a full recovery, for sure.

Friends of Tabman,

Great news everyone!! Tabman has been moved out of ICU! Of course, he is still very tired, but when he is awake he is speaking and understands what is happening around him. He is currently at the following location:

Halifax Health Hospital
303 N. Clyde Morris Blvd
Daytona Beach, FL 32114
Room 1522

Keep on praying for him and his family, since we can see how much it has helped so far!

Regards,

M.J. Thomas
