I get out most weekends on Jordan Lake, NC which is only 15 minutes from my house. I find a quiet cove, toss the anchor, set up a large folding camp chair and sit down for breakfast and a book. What a great setup! The boat is perfect for that type of solo stress release.
I have also found the boat VERY easy to trailer and launch with my Nissan Frontier.
So, of course, it is time to look at other boats
While the 16 has been great through the summer, I really don't want to give up my boat, book and breakfast routine come winter. I know I COULD do it in the 16 but a 22 would be oh so much cozier. I could also use the 22 as a realistic camper when traveling to places such as the Thousand Islands or the Erie Canal.
My only concern is launch/retrieval. I use the 16 so much now because launching is just simply not an issue. The 22 looks like it might be almost as easy but I thought some of you probably have direct experience on both boats.
Since I almost always go out alone, docking would be slightly more challenging on the 22 because I would have to move a bit between helm and cockpit.
I won't ask directly if you think I should get the 22 because I already know what you would say
