shipping a bimini top

I found a bimini top for a 22 that is for sale after the boat was damaged in a storm. They guy wanted $150.00 for the top, which is reasonable, but he said the shipping would be another $150.00 from FLA to VA.

I was wondering if anyone had experience shipping a bimini for a more reasonable rate.

I have had Bimni and full canvas shipped from Wa to FL with the bows--the $150 sounds about right. I had to meet the truck outside of our subdivision, since he could not turn around in a cul de sac.
