Hey, Brother Byrd,

Yep, Joan's still asleep, the heater is going and it's plenty comfortable in the boat. I haven't gone outside to see if the others are stirring, yet... it's chilly here this morning. The sun is just coming up and it should be a beautiful day on the FL coast. Life is good!

Best wishes,
Jim

Life is always good down there. Raise one at sundown for me Brother and know I wish I was there. I have never been face to face with you co-hearts in life down there....only via emails and Brat site. Hope I can make a run down before yall leave the area...if ya stay long enough.

You may get to see Jeff and Cathy Brigner and their boat C-Pearl. I think the Wefings crew is making some adjustments on their trailer rig that was left after the gathering a few weeks back.

Safe Travels, Sun Shine to Ya!!

Jim I expect your flotilla is in search of warmer weather but if you make it to NE Florida call me and I'll show you some of the local attractions.

Thanks, Marvin,

Brent and Dixie, and Jeff and Joanne have their boats in the water. After 2300 miles, they are spending some time doing clean-up. It was chilly here last night, but is supposed to be warming the rest of the week. Warmth will be in our top 10 of must-haves... down the list a ways from wine for Joan and Dixie, fishing for Brent and Jeff, and internet for me. Joanne seems very agreeable, so we'll see what makes her "list"... it may be showers. ;) For now, as they've unloaded their RVs, we have gotten zucchini bread and ice cream... just doing my part to help them out.

No plan to make it around to Jacksonville this trip... but, you could come hook up with us here! :D There is already discussion about moving further south. As usual, I am on a need-to-know basis, and I haven't gotten my orders, yet.

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Thanks for the invitation Jim but with the holidays coming I'm staying close to the nest. My one and only granddaughter will be 16 months and I can't miss Thanksgiving and Christmas with her. I may head down the ICW after the first for the Keys. Don't blame you for seeking the warmer weather it gets pretty cold around Jax. On your way south don't miss Cedar Key, Suwannee River and Homassas Springs. Marc can probably give you better info on these areas than I. Have a great and safe trip and I look forward to your posts and pictures.
