After a nearly seven-year love affair, beloved working girl Clara Mae has been properly decommissioned and sold. She has towed disabled yachts many times her size, completed countless offshore expeditions, and, has carried us thousands of miles up and down the eastern seaboard, throughout the Florida Keys, and through much of the Gulf of Mexico. She has been one fine boat.
A comforting consolation is that her travels are far from over. Her new owners, Craig and Jan, are eyeing retirement and a shot at the Great Loop. And, they are as exited to have and care for her as we were. No doubt Craig and Jan will be joining the C-Brats in the days to come.
My wife and I hope to retire and move on to a trawler in the next few years. The sale of the Clara Mae is a step in that direction. In the mean time I will be cruising here on the C-Brat site and wondering how I might mount a CD-16 on a trawler deck.
