Spent the past couple of days getting "Thelma-Lou" all cleaned up and ready to show. The potential new owner is driving 1500 miles to see her on Tuesday.
It's been hard, knowing that the prep is being done to promote a sale, rather than our next adventure. So many memories floating around the cockpit and cabin.
My hobby of buying/selling/trading has always financed my toys, and other hobbies, but Thelma Lou wasn't purchased with "selling" in mind. We thought that she'd always be with us.
Still, times change, and we'll be Brats again, somewhere down the river.
 
Hi Larry, We enjoyed talking to you at the NC Cruise I really liked you Custom Made Top. Hope we can Cruise again some time in the future. Keep in touch with us. Jim

It's all over but the crying now. The potential new owners arrived this morning from Quebec (1500 miles!).
I should have had video rolling as this good ol' redneck WNC boy tried to communicate with 2 French Canadians...one of which spoke no English at all.
They are were very pleased with "Thelma-Lou", and will be pulling her north as soon as the bank opens tomorrow to verify the check.
I'll be "boatless" for the first time in 30 years (well, I do have the 7 kayaks, a canoe, and a 12' inflatable pontoon).
I'm already making my list of must-haves for the 25 Cruiser that we hope to get sometime in 2013...but I have found myself considering a Rosborough 246 as well.
