Seasports web site

May I point out that the boats the Lindhouts are surviving on, are the C-Dory, Orca and Osprey lines. That should make us owners happy that the humble C-Dory is in enough demand during a recession that they continue to be built. And they make a living for the people at Triton Marine, which is not to be sneezed at.

Does this answer the discussion as to is anyone still willing to buy a new C-Dory? Or is there something I'm missing? I miss a lot.

The Orcas and Osprey are not humble. Can anyone tell me the difference between an Orca and an Osprey? They seem a variation of the Seasport theme.

I agree, it seems the C-Dory is Lindhout’s bread and butter. I have never seen an Orca so can’t comment on the difference between the Orca and an Osprey. SeaSport and Osprey are a familiar sight in Alaska, highly respected.

Not exactly right, according to Roger's article just above my post. Seems like the bank loan they couldn't renegotiate was on the Seasport line/facility and that the ones they kept were the only ones they could keep. Not really their choice..

Charlie

Charlie, you're right, the C-Dory/Orca/etc. line was the only one they could easily build. AND, they started building and apparently selling them. The building and selling is the good part. There is a demand for C-Dories.

And this isn't breaking news, but it's good news in that there are C-Dories being built. That's long term news, and C-Dory is a long term proposition.

And yea, the Triton link should be updated, since there is no more Seasport (though the molds exist.) The bank couldn't get rid of everything.

Boris

We decided to leave the link because the little =( is so cute. But Nerdly will get tired of it pretty quick and get it changed. Meanwhile we are logging the clicks. It is amazing how many times it gets checked. Way more than when it worked. We ought charge the bank a click through fee.

thanks

What the difference between wine and whine?
One has a h in it
One makes you feel good
One makes you cry or complain

Cheers and a glass of wine to you

One would think with your username, you could do the math.

2(request) = whine

and of course

wine + 2(request) = get lucky

So obviously,

wine + whine = get lucky

So by my calculations, without alcohol and complaining, none of us would be here.

Just a thought from the peanut gallery for anyone buying a new C Dory or anyone of the boats that Triton is manufacturing. The prospective buyer should assume the so called 5 year warranty will be written in sand on a very windy beach. If they (Triton) can't find sand to write the warranty on they'll use disappearing ink. Just a warning. The company is on very shaky ground.
