Sea Sport

Interesting wording to the e-mail reply. Interesting that a company with no boats sales experience is now a dealer for Sea Sport. I'm surprised that Triton isn't going factory direct like they appear to be doing with C-Dory.

Just thought I would break the news officially in regards to the SeaSport boat line. Indeed, Triton Marine will be building SeaSports again and we are very excited about this. Waypoint Marine (Ballard), will be our Northwest and BC dealer and have vast experience in selling boats (170 units this year alone!) They are a talented group and will be an excellent team for us to work with moving forward into 2012. We will not be going direct with the SeaSport line or any other line for that matter and will continue to grow all our lines through a nationwide dealer network as always. Feel free to give us a shout if you have any questions.

All the best,

Jon Lindhout - Triton Marine

Sea Sport is/was a good boat, similar to the Osprey and Orca. We can only pray that Triton Industries succeeds with their reincarnation of Sea Sport, as a healthy Trident Marine can only mean more support for C-Dory.

It'll be interesting to see the future of Sea Sport, Orca and Osprey, since they're similar boats. C-Doreys, however, are a different breed and, I think, represent a different product line.

Anyway, good luck to Triton. And a Merry Christmas to all.

Boris

If you follow out the links: you will find that Waypoint Marine is a subsidiary of Marine Lender Services. I do not see Waypoint Marine listed as a broker, but....

If you go to the links of boats for sale, you find that Marine Lender Services has a brokerage at Yacht World.com, as Marine Lenders Services.

This may take some of the mystery out of what is going on....or perhaps create more mystery.

If anyone wants a Seasport out East we will be able to make it happen at Wefings Marine . Its a win win situation and I for one am pleased to see it occur.
Marc

Waypoint will be representing the SeaSport line in AK. Can't go into details at this point but further info will come forward soon. Once again thank you for all the support. And please do take note friends on the East Coast - Marc at Wefing's would be happy to assist you if you have an interest in the SeaSport line.

Best,

Jon - Triton Marine

OK now, Sea Sport is up and running, producing boats again, by the same folks who are producing C-Dory......hmmm same folks, same production crews/ same manufacturing plant? same same same. Curious where the priorities will be. Sea Sport the original family baby or C-Dory the red headed step child. Hang on folks, it could get interesting ...... again.

Triton, Good luck. Glad to see the SS boats back again, kind of felt sorry for the poor orphans for a while ---- know how they felt.

That web site is nice but it is just the old sea sport web site that has been used in years past, nothing new.

Will Sea sport be building stock boats or boats to order? are you planing to build all the lines? I really love the rasied pilot house model. looked for one for a long time and could not find one I could afford or wanted. Some where underpowered or had gas engines that I did not want. Some even had twin inline 6's in them. I wanted a older ( head under the driver seat) model with a diesel. Hell its the only boat I would trade my 27 for.

SeaSport is the boat that returned us to boating after we sold our sailboat. We talked with reps and had a great trial ride off the Oregon coast. Then we 'discovered' C-Dory and decided the 22' was a more suitable boat for our needs at that time. Sea Sport was a well-built and designed boat - and we're glad to see her coming back and now in company with C-Dory - great boats!!

The 27 pilot is an incredible boat - especially with the twin diesels and the rear helm station. There is no better layout in this size boat. I would love one, but they cost too damn much money......
