"Sea Shift" Super Sized

:xlol :D :) 8) :P

Me thinks, I'm gettin' just a weeeee bit excited!

I talked with Les today and "SSSS" is completed at the factory and should be moved up to EQ early next week! I actually thought that I'd make it to the factory more often while it was under construction but with the holidays, weather etc. it just didn't happen.

When I sleep at night I have dreams of spinning the boat around in one spot with those twin outboards. "Suuuweet". :smilep

Way knarly Dave dude, when can we expect to see the new and improved super sized Sea Shift on the Columbia?

Just as soon as I tear down the electric fence on the farm and string the hot wire around the SSSS to keep those "Columbia River Wharf Rats" off the boat while we are sleeping at night.

(Actually, I have been thinking about venturing down to one of those C. R. Cruises).

Today, I drove up to EQ Marine not long after the new 22' "Sea Shift" arrived. I posted new pictures of her in the "Sea Shift" album.

Can you believe, we didn't even actually discuss time?. Les is working on Da New Da Nag and I want him to take whatever time is needed to do a "first rate job"....(which we know he'll do)...before he gets going on "Sea Shift".

I've got to tell you, every time I talk with Les, I always go away so impressed with his thoughtful insight on all that he does. He really thinks out the best way to do things, so you know that the end product will be superb!

Hey Dave! Nice boat!! What did Les do, dump Da New Da Nag on the ground to get your trailer freed up?

How many trips to Deception Pass have you made recently?

Mike, that's the trailer the SSSS was delivered to EQ on. To my knowledge our trailer is still happily lending support to Da New Da Nag.

We haven't been up to EQ since the Saturday of the CBC. May make it up towards the end of this week.

It's nice to know, that even in good times, I can get a little support from my friends...

Last Saturday I trailered the 16' (former "Sea Shift") to EQ Marine so its' new owner could pick her up today.
This morning I drove up to say "Bon Voyage" to her. :cry

She has been a faithful friend and a terrific family member.

However, I am pleased that she has found such a wonderful new home!
Fortunately, we may happen on to her as we all cruise the San Juan Islands, as her new home is there. Her new owners have indicated that we may hear from them on the C-Brat site and they may also join us at our gatherings.

(While she was for sale, I had inquiries about her from the "left coast" to the "right coast" and from the "top of the U. S." to the "bottom of the U. S."....as in Alaska). During the selling process, I had the opportunity to speak with many fine people!

Um, Dave, uh, do you have something to tell us? Judging from the latest pictures, you're mighty proud of your Johnson. Must be, to hang two of the things on the back of your new boat.

Is it because the Honda on SS16 performed so well for so many years that you decided not to press your luck? Or is it a fireman thing?

They are actually "Suzukis" in disguise....Suzuki just put a different covering on them. Just thought that I'd try fuel injection this time around. The color ain't too bad either for a fireman, because if you look reeeaaal close you'll notice a "splash" of fire engine red on the motor covers. Folks, that I talked to that had had the Suzukis seemed happy with them.

What do you guys think? I don't know, it just seems to me like he's not one of us anymore.
Geez, you guys were never this tough on me and my Yamaha...

Hey CM, not only is his engine choice hip and edgy - he's getting this cool new thing called a GPS. Ever heard of them?

Dude! Can't wait to see some Pics of the newly Christened C-Dory! My wife and I are seriously looking into a CD 25' or possibly a 27 Orca. Personally, I like the CD. CD's are sooooo... nice and the lines of the vessel is just as good as it gets  Congrats, and I am sure a lot of others can't wait to see you new boat. :cocktail Butch Taylor

Dave,
I just looked at the picture you posted of your boat with the Johnsons on it. I think they look great with your color scheme. I want to see them up close, and hear them run.
