Thanks for the nice comments. We can't take much credit for the curtains because the original owner made them. We did, however, replace the webbing that holds them in the rolled up position. They were badly deteriorated from the sun. We just got some nylon webbing and snaps and screwed them on. I don't know if all boats have that piece of teak above the windows or if the original owner added them. They are nice looking and handy to attach your curtains to.
We use the curtains all the time. When the boat is on the trailer, we keep them all down because the sun is relentless. Keeps the boat a lot cooler, too. The best thing is that they are so simple and quick to roll up and down.
Those sunbrella covers on the aft cabin windows are snapped to a plastic mesh (don't know exactly what they are made of) but the mesh is snapped to the bulkhead and the covers snap to them. We simply roll the covers up when we are underway and leave the mesh down for shade. You can easily see out through them. We just roll them and tuck the end into the grab handle next to it to keep it up.
