Over all I do believe that this is healthy for the marine industry. FLIR has adequate resources--and is mostly on the perphery of the recreational market (mostly high end and military gear). FLIR has been a well run company. A lot will depend on how well Raymarine is run (and if it can make a profit). Another question is will it remain headquartered in the UK, or come back to the US, where FLIR has its headquarters.
