Radar Arch

I have a 2003 25' Cruiser and am getting ready to install a radar. We keep Kayaks or an 8' inflatable on the top of the house on a rack setup that I built. This presents an issue with the arch being placed on the rear of the house because of the on and off process. Does anyone know where we can pruchase a standard non leaning stainless arch, about 22" in heigth, for the front of the house? Are there any other suggestions on this. I plan on having the anchor light plug-in removed and a new light and fixture placed on the arch. All input is greatly appreciated.

Any potential vertical height clearance with that high an arch, plus the radar dome on the 25? I am thinking specifically of service stations etc.

I don't know of any off the shelf solutions, but any rail making shop should be able to fabricate what you are after, it is a fairly simple designe.

You could probably build it out of 1" Stainless tubing using the standard rail fittings available at any boating store. Bending the tubing will be the hardest part of the process.

I have seen a few boats with the radar arch at the front of the house with a forward cant on them. I thought about it for the but in the end opted to go with the standard aft positioning with a very slight aft lean on the back to facilitate easy access to rod holders despite it being an optimal radar location.

Also if you have a kayak rack up top make sure that you have enough of spread to accomadate the width of whats on top (dinghy, kayaks, ect). A good welder can make just about anything you can think up, but I'm sure they will have some good suggestions for you too. Just make sure that when the measurements are done you have everything in place to ensure proper fit and your approval.
