pray for a sea hawk loss

A lot. Shipping my car up here from there cost $900 but that was in 1999 and was just a drive-on to the ship. Got here w/ rear bumper damage. I can't imagine a boat on a trailer.

what's new? I put the festivus pole up today :) it's going to be a low key day tomorrow though. We had our Holliday fun on the big island last week. I spotted two C dorys over there, one was a haggard looking angler, the other, a research vessel. Anybody know what it costs to ship a c dory over there?

We won't even be putting up a festivus pole over here in Kekaha Kauai; thawing out in the islands for three weeks. Have never seen a C-dory over here in the 30+ years we've been making the trip. If I lived here I'd have eather a sail boat or something similar to a trothy.
Xmas day we plan on hanging out at a little beach over in Port Allan, will do a little shore fishing and snorkeling; cooking rack of lamb for dinner.

Marry Christmas and Mahalo to the brat pack,,,

local boy. You mean that super bowl? The one they have every year that I don't watch? The one where it really does not make one lick of difference who wins? The leauge and the players all still get paid and the bookeis all still get the most money, that super bowl?

Iam just giving all you football fans a good stirring. I look forward to the boat show every year and could really care less about any foot ball game of any team. I find the whole Idea of team worship kind of funny and sad all at the same time. Yesterday 50 people or so got arrested for stealing the seats from candle stick part like they are worth anything. Who in their right mind does that? Oh yeah foot ball fans

Uh-oh...agreeing with Tom...always dangerous...keep it to myself, don't stir the pot...

Oops - I accidentally hit the submit button. Apologies.

I've never completely understood the appeal of football. Yeah, I get the excitement that comes from watching gifted athletes do things 99.9% of us never could...but the game and culture itself, frustrates the snot out of me.

Maybe 10% of the time spent watching a game, is on the actual action that lasts for a few seconds at a time. Even then, it's a distinct minority of the plays that generate any excitement for me. The concept that referees are an integral part of the game, and every single play, removes the spontaneity I find appealing in sports I do enjoy watching. It's just too structured for my tastes, and that structure lends itself to the near-constant commercials necessary to feed the beast.

Real C-Brats watch baseball. Or hockey. Or women's mud wrestling.

Good thing I've already got all yer burgee money, eh?

Agree with you both mostly. and I love Tom's impusiveness. Not a sports fan myself.

My possibly simplistic feelings are that I like to do things, not watch other people do things.

Like Tom I surmise, I generally take issue with rivalry as a concept and idols as well.

Healthy competition is a temporary state that only exists until it turns into something less so.

I kind of like it. The Donate button has been working good the past couple weeks! Yay team! Go team!

And above all, Thank you team!

Jeez, near the end of the game my next door neighbor came to the door with a Christmas gift. I practically slammed the door in his face. Getting out of this one is gonna be tough... :disgust

Mele Kalikimaka, Ken! Just today for the Festivus Pole?? A day late there, my friend. I will bring that up during next year's Airing of Grieviances. :xnaughty

This is probably the most ... bizarre ... thread I've read in a long time.

Can't wait 'till boating season fires up again, so we can all get back to discussing the important things in life. ... Like, whether it's better to have a single and kicker, or twins. :|
