I am considering selling my C Dory but am not sure on what a fair price is to ask. I have added a few options since I purchased her. She has never been in salt water and has less than 30 hours of fresh water usage as well. Any suggestions on what a fair price that I should ask is appreciated. Thanks.

The Boat includes the following,

-Honda 90 HP 4 Stroke motor less than 30 hours.

-Honda 8 HP Kicker.

-Single axle trailer.

-Lowrance HDS 10 Fishfinder

-Custom Stainless Steel Rocket Launcher with Halogen deck light on a swivel.

-Lewmar Pro 700 Windlass Winch W/ Anchor and free fall option.

-Canvas Sunshades For Windows

-Canvas Storage Cover For Boat that covers the entire boat down to the trailer.

-Forward Facing Passenger Seat

-Porta Potty

-Electric Cannon Downrigger.

Maybe I'm wrong but doesn't it show the year and size of the C-Dory in the upper left hand section next to my name? Just in case I am wrong it is a 22' Cruiser and the year is a 2005.

Robert,

Thanks, after reading his message about me keeping the size and year of the boat a secret I was wondering if I was missing something. I was also trying to figure out how to delete the posting but the site only allows you to edit/delete for 30 minutes after the posting. I think that 39K will be reasonable for me and the prospective buyer.

It's looking like my house size is going to increase by 2 teenagers. Everything is somewhat up in the air though. I'll know for sure in a couple of weeks though. If I were to sell it I can definitely assure you that I would be purchasing another one down the road. My only problem would be to find one that does not have the solid bulkhead in the back so that I could put a canvass one in. With a canvass bulkhead it makes it more convenient to remove the bulkhead so that instead of walking through a door you have the entire area for walking back and forth, especially when trolling for trout and salmon.

If you bought the boat used, then what price you paid, plus half the cost of the accessories. The boat seems well equipted and should bring a good price. The three negatives I see is if you have done the first service or not. The second is that you have the older Carburated 90 hp. Third is how the boat was used--and laid up between uses. If you don't use the engine for a number of months, generally it is a good idea to fog it right after an oil change. These are minor and should not affect the price.

The price you mention is certaily a good starting place--good luck with the sale.

As far as the first servicing that has been completed and I have all the receipts still and I can see where having the carbureted engine would be a drawback. As far as the low hours, I usually use the kicker for trolling most of the time and only the main engine only to get where I need to be to start fishing. Thanks for all the info.

And a fourth possible negative for some might be that is has an Alaskan type curtain and not a hard enclosed cabin rear wall with a door. May be just the thing for some one though.
