Possible Great deal?

Suspiciously low price--engines 2500 hours. Claims boat been beyond the Arctic Circle/Hudson Bay--so should be easy to trace. Even with re power--this is a bargain, if as represented...

For that price I could fly across the country, buy the boat and a truck to haul it with and drive it back to the east coast for less than I paid for my 22 a couple of years ago. The boat for sale is a couple of years older than mine, but has some extra features mine doesn't.

Too bad I already got one, although .....

This one comes with bragging rights! Certainly adds to the C-Dory rep for toughness and capability. I do wonder what condition this boat can be in after such adventures?

It strikes me that we sometimes have good conversations that start around a craigslist ad, (or some other ad) that inevitably goes away at some point. For those in the future looking for info via search, it might be helpful if the ads were presented, like a screen shot, or cut and paste.

Granted, then you have to host the screen shots on your album, and keep them there, and the best way to get stuff done is to send TyBoo a big pile of cash, but just an observation for the ether.

I suspect someone got one heck of a deal. In my opinion prior owners such as this have been depending on their boat for survival & therefore have kept it in shape to meet that requirement. Our Hunkydory, likewise has been pretty much continually tested each year & is a 2000 model with the same Honda motors with a few less hours at 2100 & is well maintained & ready for future challenges, though yes if you look close you can see the cosmetic wounds that come about from using the boat. I'd either give it away to the right person or a Viking funeral before selling at $15,000.

Jay, I'm with you, but not ready to part with my boat just yet. "Use" hours don't hurt a boat nearly as much as "sitting unused" hours do. Guess it has to do with as you say "dependence" or love, which ever floats your boat.

Yup, somebody got a good deal. Hope we see some more about that boat here.

Would have been a good on for the factory to pick up and run as a demo boat, Remember the days of the "FacDory Guys" boat and the pix of it out on the Columbia bar.
