Portland Christmas Ships

For all those in the Portland area, consider coming out to see the Portland Christmas Ships parade this year. The parade starts in 1 week and will go for about 2 weeks. There will be two fleets- one on the Columbia river and one on the Willamette. We will be out with the Willamette fleet on Seaweed (see picture below if I did the posting of a picture correctly), a 16' angler. Just look for the smallest boat in the parade! It's a ton of fun and a great way to get into the holiday spirit. See http://www.christmasships.org for the exact schedule and parade routes.

See this photo album for pics of Seaweed from year's past...

Happy holidays C-brats!

Looks good, Erin and Bill! I have had big fun with the lighted boat parade in our area, but we won't be there for it again this year. Post some photos of this year's parade to keep us all in the Christmas spirit. :D

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Erin and Bill,

Thanks for posting the links. Great. I love your boat decor theme. How meaningful :thup :thup

Especially after the Christmas tree lighting near disaster her in Portland Friday night.

If this works, I'll bring one of your photos over to this thread.

Well, that worked, but I forgot to sign off, so ....

Merry Christmas, and safe boating,

Peace,

I'll see you out there in my Campion. It will only be lit up in yellow and red. It's a Coast Guard Aux. boat. :)

Greg-

We appreciate you guys being out there with us. We never feel more safe boating than we do with Christmas Ships, despite the sometimes less than perfect weather and river conditions, coupled with the darkness, and that's thanks to you guys in the coast guard auxiliary and the county sheriff river patrols.

What night will you be out?

Erin
