Mark (Not-For-Hire) sure knows his s--- (stuff) regarding potty regulations in Canada. Living on the Great Lakes, presents many opportunities to boat in Canadian waters. In anticipation of cruising the North Channel area and my desire to be in being in compliance with the Canadian regulations, I installed a Thetford Model 775 MSD with a pump out. An access hole was cut and a round access panel installed the fiberglass bulkhead behind usual the porta potty location.. A pump out cap and vent were installed in the port bow deck area. It is necessary to tunnel through the foam flotation under the v-berth deck to provide a raceway for the hook up hosing. This configuration is used when boating in Canada. In US waters I use a standard portable potty, which is what I use most of the time.
