Pat and Patty Have a New Granddaughter!

Beautiful photo - you are blessed again! :D

One of my favorite "grandpa stories"... I was photographing an extended family in our studio; everyone was dressed to the 9s. While some were still in the dressing rooms, a little girl of about 3 or 4 came out to where the guys were waiting. I was visiting with her grandfather; we both turned to admire the little girl. She was carrying a purse that matched her outfit.

I asked her, "What do you have in your purse, Honey?"

She opened it up, looked inside, and said, "There isn't anything in my purse! Grandpa, my purse is empty!"

She barely got the words out when he was reaching into is pocket to take care of that "problem."

:wink

Twice blessed, you two. Congrats all around.

Beautiful. Congratulations.

So do you remember how long it was from the time Lydia was born until the day she asked for the car keys? This one will seem half as long.

What a wonderful family addition. Enjoy.

The first time Lydia took the car (when she was 15) she did not exactly ask, as I recall!

And, YOU asked when you were 15?? Seems to me that is a right of passage. I was a precocious child - I think I was 13.

My parents don't know about the first time I took the keys to, what at the time, was my Dad's van. I remember it very clearly as I went driving on some local streets in the winter, gunned the throttle in an attempt to race a little VW, spun the vehicle around, into one ditch and back out of another and then drove the van VERY gingerly home and parked it back where I found it (no damage).
