Pacific Coast Highway

Toni and I Left Yesterday heading south but not on 101.

The weather in SW Washington was heavy wind and rain, we finally got out of it just south of Mt. Hood. We have no ultimate destination, just a direction, but we hope to get by Grand Canyon, Sedona, Flagstaff, Phoenix, Yuma, and Tucson before moving on to New Mexico and Texas. We are in Prineville, Or. today.

Safe travels and boating to all, we will be reporting C-Dory sightings along the way. We already miss our boat but she is clean and put snuggly away, waiting for our return.

Back in the 60's I used to spend alot of time in Big Sur area. One of my favorite eateries was Nepenthe Restaurant. I googled it, and still owned by the same family. Also Pfiffer's state beach is a great place to get down to the ocean.

Look for the Whale migration along the coast when you stop.

When you get closer to Morro Bay, there is San Simion State Beach--camping, Hurst Castle--worth at least one of the tours if you have not done this before--if you have,--take another tour! Morro Bay is a lot of fun, and I also like to take a drive out to Montana D'Oro State park for a hike along the bluffs.
