OT: By Golly, It Works

Having seen all the ads on the idiot tube for headlight restoration products (just wipe it on, wipe it off and you'll be amazed), I bit the bullet and bought a 3M kit to see if I could get a bit more light out of the lenses on my 2000 F250. It took about 35 minutes per light, and believe it or not... it worked as advertised.

I am now considering the purchase of a lottery ticket later this evening.

At my age it sometimes takes a while for stuff to sink into my brain but this thread caused me to have a :idea :idea :idea moment.

Our canvas man recommended using Meguiars Mirror Glaze clear plastic cleaner #17 and polish #10 on the clear sections of our enclosure (works great BTW).

My Chevvy truck has that misty eyed look and I have been meaning to do something about it for a while.

You got it. 30 second event. Wiped on the # 17 cleaner, rubbed it in and wiped it off. Crystal clear.

Lottery ticket has been bought.
