1. Well, yes, but I'm sure a lot of other C-Brats with different year models probably also think the same, unless they've had a bad experience with their boat.

2. Yes, most of us like to think that our boat, our car, our motorcycle, or our whatever is the best.

3. Yes, but its still true that I and the folks I've read about have had very few if any problems with these older models.

4. Yes, and it helps to promote that "best boat" opinion with some careful writing and editing, making the point well.

5. So yes, for several reasons, I think the early Cruisers from 1987 and on for several years are very good boats.

As Joe says we may all think that our boat is the "best". There are features in my 2006 boat which I felt were significantly better than the 1993 22.

1. removable flat floor in the cockpit. The "height" of the floor, is no more than 3" in the center, and almost nil at the outside edges.

2. The bilge pump inside the cabin--and then adding the aft pump gives far better water removal.

3. Access to the forward bunk as I noted, being easier.

4. SS. Hand rails, rather than Teak

5. The aft bulkhead being fiberglass/ rather than DecraGuard Plywood.

6. 2 25 gallons gas tanks, which are translucent.

7. Opening rear (door) window--and opening front window--although these can be retrofitted to earlier boats.

8. Side sliding screens.

9. Spring line amidship cleats seem recessed into deck more (?)

10. Foam Core in the Transom.

I feel that the general construction is equal in both boats--such as lay up, quality of gel coat etc..But--again--I am happier with the 2006 boat than the 1993 boat just because of these (and having a 4 stroke motor--would be even better if it was fuel injected and had larger alternator).

Just a personal opinion.
 
Wow, Bob, Joe AND you have found the perfect boat. Joe after sampling other brands and you after sampling all C-Dory has to offer. My congratulations to both. And here's to a C-Dory 22!
