In one post Pat Anderson encourages folks to buy new C-Dorys and in another post chides an individual for purchasing a new boat from another manufacturer. Huh?
As far as the "conspicuous consumption" comment goes: Couldn't it be argued that very few of us boat owners actually "need" a boat? Conversley, since the remaining majority of us who own a boat but do not "need" a boat, couldn't we all be considered to be engaging in conspicous consumption. Even buyers of new C-Dorys.
Conspicuous consumption feeds a lot of families, pays many mortgages, vacations, car payments......
