Number of Posts

In looking at the sign up for the SBS event, I noticed a proud fact - that I am the second most prolific poster (634) signed up, second only to Taboo - er, Tyboo (961), while Der Nag has a puny (600), and the rest of you pikers are not even close...

NONSENCE!

TO THIS I SAY:

1. Some people reply to everything: 1) just to be sociable, or 2) just because they have the time and nothing else to do on long, cold, dark winter nights or 3) just to pass the time at work! :xlol

2. Others wait until they have something signifigant to say that they think others want to hear!!! :xnaughty

3. For some, a post is two words or two sentences, For others, 800 to 1500 words on a technical subject explains things thoroughly. :xtongue

4. Sheer number of posts is an interesting number, but may not be the ultimate gauge of the value of one's contributions to C-Brant Land. But for you, if the number is the final test, reply to this and have yourself some more fun!!! :moon :moon :moon :xseek :xseek :xseek :xlol :xlol :xlol See you at the SBS & SBC!!! Joe.
 
OK Pat,
I'm siding with you cause your right, some of us have been a bit on the quiet side here lately. We have so many new members that are adding to the posts though that it takes most of my free time just to read let alone right. I also think my home projects and work have something to do with it. Maybe I'll try not to let it get in the way so much. Besides, the SBS & CBC is coming up and that always gets everyones juices flowing for the new season.

Well, if y'all don't keep up your end on the posting, there won't be much for folks to read! Even "BA! HUMBUG!" is better than seeing no new messages... I recall a thread from a while back called "Yoohoo - Anybody out there?" which occasionally sums it up. Actually, it has been fairly active around here recently, keep up the good work!

I'm proud to say, my posts contain none of the above attributes, they also contain no artifical sweeteners and are low in carbs, their content consists mainly of free range, organically grown humor
 
598 and no hope of ever catching Pat cuz he becomes a city employee in January.....have to be retired to have more internet cruising time than a city employee :)
 
Who ever said when you retire you have more computer time has a real surprise in store for them when they retire. There are less hours in a day now than when I was working for a living. So many things to do and places to go. Just keeping up with my message boards doesn't give me much time to post replies. Any how volume doesn't compare to quality. A very smart man ( My Dad) once told me " Keep your mouth shut and let people wonder how smart you are, Don't open your mouth and take away all dought!!" Enough said
 
Lyle, when I wrote that, I knew you'd chime in. I no sooner hit the send button and I said to myself "self, Lyle is retired and he has less free time than most".

The important thing is, as it says on the front page, "A Fun and informative place"....I'm just here for the beer
 
Yes Ken, It is all about having fun and being able to banter with the good friends I have made since I got my first C-Dory and went to my first outing and met all you good folks.
