 A "brand new" 2009 C-Dory 25, twin 90HP, King Trailer, never sold never been in the water, no electronics for only (drum roll please!!) $99,000 just call Alaska Mining and Diving Supply or look on E-Bay under C-Dory. And If you can't afford that I've got a well cared for 2006 C-Dory 22 I'll part with for only $90,000. Wonder how they got into that price. Maybe things just cost more up there?

Perhaps the sales manager hit his head???? Maybe they will give me 70,000 or so for my old 22 for a trade in..... Perhaps they were really talking about a tomcat??? The last time I drove by that is all they had.....Who knows....

Things are not that expensive here. In fact, in the last couple of years, the cost index of Wasilla was 94 which means it was less than the national average. Actually, Alaska Mining and Diving is known fo a lot of things, but being expensive didn't used to be one of them. For example, just a couple of years ago they were advertising CD 22s for just under 50 rigged and ready to go if you caught them at the show.

Obviously you guys haven't priced a C-Dory 25 lately. :)

I don't know all the equipment on that boat, but with twin motors, and a moderate list of options a new 25 Cruiser will go for in excess of $100,000 easily. Heck, a single screw 25 Cruiser is going to cost nearly $100,000. And the boat in alaska has $20,000 in just engines.

The price of C-Dories has been climbing in recent years, with annual price increases from the factory. At the Seattle Boat Show, the 22 Cruiser with single 115 and trailer was going for $55,000. And that boat was pretty basic- no 11V, no Refer, no canvas, etc., etc.

No complaints over here. I am happy to see a boat like ours selling for a good price because it means we were smart to buy a C-Dory. It will be nice to sell the boat someday for more than a 10 year old Bayliner.

One of the points of this 2009 boat is that it is 2 years old any way you cut it. It is also an orphan boat--no warrantee of any type of the hull etc--but I suspect you can still get warranty on the engines.

I agree that a new (2011) CDory 25 will be well over $100,000, especially with twins, a trailer and various accessories. Boat prices will keep going up--even though house prices are going down. Not sure how well the used boat prices will do however. The C Dory 22's used to hold their value well--same with the 25's--maybe not quite as well. But the Tom Cats and newer 25's Don't seem to be holding the value as well as in the past...

We bought an "orphaned" 2009 25' Cruiser. No regrets whatsoever. Dealer that sold it to us has been excellent to work with on service & maintenance. We have over 150 hours underway logged so far.

We have been noticing a softening of prices on used C-Dory's. We have a used 25 that is very nice that the seller has droped $10K on price, and while lots of people are looking at it online, not many calls or e-mails of interest.

We do see a 25 that recently sold in our area, and it went for considerably less than what I would have thought it should. A sign of the times, I am afraid.

Yeah, and my slip at Skyline (30' + 6' overhang x 11' beam) is too small to accommodate non-trailerable boats (trawlers, etc.) As a result, there are 2 other slips of that size that have been for sale for 2 years with no offers. We recently got hit with an assessment for dredging and rebuilding the docks so I think a lot of people want to get that back out of their slips before selling. So I agree, a sign of the times, and I suspect it will be several years before the market recovers, if it does, for the small recreational boat market (boats, slips, etc.)

Not if they want to finance ! They would need a big down payment .
We just sold a consignment '07 19 angler with the new EFI Honda 90 [250 hours],tabs, floorboards, tandem axle alum. trailer all in tip top shape for 26k .
Thats 10k less than we started at .

I think that's very true, and it would therefore seem to me that the smartest entry point into the C-Dory market would be with a 22 because of it's relatively greater resale/trade-in value later, if one subsequently decides to move up to a larger C-Dory.

Of course, if you can afford and want a larger boat right now, the price may never be this low again, but who knows?.................! :disgust

I have wanted a C-Dory for years but I was put off by the prices a bit. However, I was just able to purchase a 2006 22 Angler (enclosed) for 29K from a dealer in LA who what picked it up as a repo. The dealer paid 30K for the repo and had a resale all set for 39K, but then the deal fell through. He used it himself for one season and for case flow and reduced prices resulted in a sale to me for $29K. It is in excellent shape with 215 hours on a 90HP Honda, auto pilot, gps, VHS radio, trailer in excellent shape etc.

The market is a reflection of the economy and it is weak. On the other hand I don't think I would be a C-Dory owner if the price was $39k.

Happy to be a brat at last!

Alaska Mining and Diving (AMD) is the C-dory dealer for Anchorage and South Central Alaska; they are very proud of their boats, products and services. When I was looking for a new or nearly new 22 4 years ago I would have had to pay 60k+ for what I bought in WA for 47.5K with only 33 hours on the meter; 6 days and $1500 in diesel was worth the effort. I go there for parts only when I have to and will never take my boat or motor there for service, if I can’t do it myself I’ll find an independent who can. If you ask to talk with AMD service they tell you their techs work on commission and don’t have time for chat.
The big Alaska Sportsman show is next weekend, it will be interesting to see if they have any C-dory’s on display. Unfortunately if the weather holds this weekend the Triple J will be headed out into Prince William Sound, dang I might mess the show. :(

I have it from a reliable source the price is now $93,500 and comes with twin ETEC-90s. They will also pay the freight to Tacoma if someone in the NW wants it.

The weather has gone sour on the sound so staying in town this weekend. I’ll be going to a sportsmen show this weekend, perhaps AMD will have this boat there. My guess is they think this 25 will fetch big bucks since it’s one of the last produced by the former C-dory manufacture. Still, 93k is way over the top for a 25 with no hull warranty and minimal options.
