Not sure how to communicate with forum

Last season we bought our C-dory 22 (now called Tonka) in the Bahamas. Our big sailboat is now for sail!. We are looking forward to the freedoms & advantages of the shallow water exploration. We are interested in any owners who are in the Bahamas or who intend to go. We would like to let owners know of the boat life scene in the Bahamas.

Welcome aboard, you're doing fine communicating here in General Chat. Looking forward to hearing more about the Bahama scenes..

Congrats on your boat purchase. We also are interested in hearing your ideas about small boat cruising in the Bahamas. Welcome aboard the C-Brat Site.

I am very interested in hearing about cruising the Bahamas in a CD22. Tell us as much as you can.

One question I have right now is regarding a dinghy. If you are traveling the Bahamas in a CD22, is a dinghy necessary? If so, how are you planning to transport yours? On the roof? Towed behind?

Looking forward to hearing more.

Thanks for the replies & encouragement. We have gained much valuable info for smaller boat living and modifications from the c-brats. The dinghy was chosen for roof travel (light enough for us to lift & long enought to just fit on top). The choice of kicker / dinghy motor is still part of our conversation, but your pictures & ideas have been great. We are not new to boating in the Bahamas, having lived the past 7 winters with a 5.5draft sailboat. We are excited about the changes we are making.

Oops, My husband has more info...yes we feel that a dinghy is necessary in the Bahamas unless one is staying at marinas ( which we don't). Social interaction with other boaters in the anchorages, exploring mangroves, sourcing groceries when no community docks are available, & sometimes its not safe to get close to shore ...all these are reasons why we see the need.
