Not a C-Dory

Hopefully the old saying once a Brat always a Brat is still true. I would have bought a third CD but have a huge project I am working on right now so I had to settle for something more basic. A serious cleaning, buffing, some paint work and what not but should be fun on the water. Looking to build some seating for the cockpit to make it into a day/picnic style of cruiser. I'd like to design the seating to then fold flat for a weekend bed platform. Who knows where this one will take me.

Have you thought about back to back sleeper seats. I have them on my boat. You can also leave the one inclined to use as a lounger. Not the most comfortable to sleep on, but,,

Would love to see more pictures. What year? Power? The original Sisu was a displacement hull powered with a small diesel. As outboards were added and more power - the hull characteristics slowly changed to the semi-displacement design of today.

Regards,

Rob

Yes it is a 1981 Sisu. Very heavy built boat, 150 hp Johnson reported to have only 500 hours. No tabs, no electronics to speak of. My plan is to add U shape seating and turn it into a picnic cruiser for my business. Canvas to run to the end of the cockpit some tunes and enjoy. Came with a galvanized trailer, fresh brakes and hubs.
It was a solid buy as most didn't know the brand here on the West Coast and I got it for just over the value of the trailer. Disgust

Just a note to wish you well with the rehab. "Sisu is a Finnish word that means stamina, fortitude, and guts”. I'd sure like to have a "picnic" on that vessel some day.

Used and put away wet. The new one was just an example as to what I am aiming for. Sort of two times Rosborough as they now own the molds. It’s more than likely a temporary boat until I get my current building project done and then can focus on a CD 25 or Ranger.
