New to the forum

Several of us have had both CD22s and CD25. We LOVED our CD22, but we love our CD25 more! We gave up at least 1 mpg or more in the move from twin Honda 40s to a single Honda 150, but the extra elbow room and amenities are worth it for us. Others love the simplicity and economy of the CD22, and I can't argue with that decision either. We tow with a 5.4L Expedition, and the CD25 is noticeably more of a load but manageable. You really cannot go wrong with either one!

I was wondering about the difference in the 22 & 25' models for cruising. I have not heard much from the 25' owners. I tried to lay down in a 22 at the Portland show but the berth was to short, I am 6'2". Is the 25 berth longer or maybe someone has something to help me figure this one out.

OK, now this is getting serious. It looks like we will need to sell our current boat and make a decision on whether to go new or look for a used one. We just received a great PM about a 25 for sale in Gig Harbor. Of course it had everything I wanted on it. I'm not sure yet how to reply to that one but will ponder it and figure it out. We really need to go out on these and feel them. So, the journey continues. Is this some kind of Star Trek thing where "resistance is futile"?

Yes - you will be assimilated... (or at least welcomed). I made a comment on here once before that I didn't realize that I was joining a cult when I boat this boat but it happened. I would hire someone to deprogram me but I'm saving my money for radar instead.

The pictures and stories I've seen and read have been great. It feels like there should be some kind of book with all this in it.
This site is the book on/about C-Dory’s. The only problem, the pages are not in order or numbered. But boy, can you have fun researching it.

I also tow with an Expedition (5.4L 2003) 4x4, the 4 wheel drive really, really makes it nice at the ramp late at night at low tide! Great combination.

Occasionally though, my neighbors just have come out and ask where I'm going today when I pull out front with this:

(Just moving it out to get to my camping trailer...!)

Keith, the 3/4 ton truck is plenty. I've towed mine all over the East coast with a 1/2 ton Suburban.

As for the sleeping arrangments, I'm 6'4" and sleep across the beam, feet to port, and head behind the helm. The first mate is 5'4", so she fits forward OK. The only problem with this is that she has to roll over me to get out. No big deal really, I kinda like it.
