Welcome to C-Brats.
All the information you are asking about is here on the site. In spending time searching for specific answers you will also bump into a wealth of other information that you probably didn't even consider. Spend the time looking (as I am sure you are or have done). I am not suggesting that no one will answer your specific questions, because they most likely will.

As suggested above, all of your questions (and many you didn't ask) are answered multiple time in previous posts on the board and you'll find those answers with a search.

Here's the short answers:
Good-bad:
Good: C-Dory's are economical to operate, well constructed, hold their value, are shallow draft and come with the best support/self-help group (this site) of any boat
Bad: Since the hulls are nearly flat, they pound in the chop unless you slow down. So if you want to go fast in waves to get to the fishing spots, the CD hulls are not for you (exception being the TomCat catamaran hull).

Once you have a boat close to purchase, it will be easier to talk about what to look for. In a recent model boat (like the 2006 you want), the main concern would be the condition of the engine(s) and a check around any through holes in the transom and hull for potential water intrusion/damage (unlikely in a boat of this age but possible depending on the quality of the installs).

Price: Varies a good bit depending on age, condition, installs etc. but C-Dory's hold their value better than the vast majority of boats on the market so expect to pay more for a C-Dory than NADA or typical depreciation scales will indicate.

Balsa core - discussed extensively on this site - bottom line not a problem and has some advantages over other coring materials.

You seem to have a very specific year and equipment in mind. Do you have a line on a boat currently for sale? If you don't, recognize that these boats were never produced in large volume so you might not find a 2006 equipped with a Honda 150 for sale any time soon and you might need to broaden your search parameters (eg. 2003-2008, etc).

Welcome aboard. There is a boat such as you describe in WA state for $65,000. That is a decent price. A new one will cost pretty close to $100,000 with trailer, taxes and electronics. Of course one can always bargin on the price--but don't expect much in the way of a drop. On the other hand, there are a few Tom Cats which are faster, and do better in the chop--for a little bit more.

There are some advantages to the 2006 boats--and that is the double fill on the fuel tank, and location of holding/water tanks (if I remember correctly).

It is very possible that you will have to travel to buy a C Dory. I bought my 25 in New Jersey, and my 22 in New Mexico. (Home is in Florida, those boats were both kept on the West Coast of the US).

Don't be locked in on the Honda Engine--a Suzuki is just as good--maybe better, because you can swing a bigger prop. Be sure that the boat has trim tabs, and also put a Permatrim on the ventillation plate of the engine. This allows putting the bow down if dealing with chop. But Roger had given a good description of what to expect in performance.

Creeks?--maybe a 22 would be better in that it is lighter and easier to launch (not really a problem for a 25, but does require a bit more water and bigger trailer). For creeks I use a Kayak....

Check the moisture in the transom--but be sure the boat has been out of the water for some time, and no bottom paint or metal near the moisture meter. There were some of the 2003 (2002 and 2004?) boats which had some problems--probably the worse you can see in my album. But I bought a boat with known defects on a previous survey, at the "right price" and repaired it properly, so it was a better boat than when built. The boats are simple, easy to work on and easy to modify if you wish.
