New Suzi!

That's great Pat! Looks good. Saw Daydream at Sportcraft when I was having my installation last week, where you so graciously let me ahead of you!
See you in FH!

Looks great. You are keeping your Honda kicker? I have the dual Honda binnacle so feel married to my Honda’s, but would love another 50 ponies.

Taking it Tuna fishing this year?

Wow. Nice new Suzuki motor Pat. I like the new cowling cover design and I bet it performs well for you in your next 3000 hours of motor use on Daydream.

Hey Pat, is that an Alaskan Camper in the background of the photo? Nice!

I don't know who talked you into that but you're crazy for putting 200hp on that little 25 footer. Wait until you hit 40mph with Mrs. Bickerson aboard and you'll find out how crazy.

Congrats!

Yes, hmmm...I wonder who it was who talked us into (A) Suzuki, and (2) Sportcraft! I think they owe you a steak dinner or two for all of us C-Brats who are now new Sportcraft fans!

It worked out well for both of us, no? Our required trailer repair was the reason your job got advanced I think, not our graciousness! Poor Jody Kidd is still waiting for his engine to come in to Sportcraft. What did you put on that beautiful new Venture? Tim did not tell me.

Yes, it is...but we just sold it, we have signed a Purchase Order for a new Northern Lite Sportsman Plus 9-6. The best part of the story, however, is that Biill and El's son Brad bought it!

Yes, you caan see part of the Honda kicker on the left side of the photo.

I would love to go tuna fishing, but more likely salmon if WDNR ever lets that happen again.

WOW! I've heard of Christmas in July but Christmas in April? I've owned several older boats that I've imagined repowering but,,,,, You must be beyond excited!

Enjoy the summer.

Rob

Hopefully mine will show up by the end of May. At least the weather will be warmer. I’m just going to camp up there till they finish mine.

Pat, what did you do with your old engine?

Sportcraft gave us $300 for it as a parts motor. I did salvage the Michigan Wheel stainless steel prop (won't fit the Suzi, so if anyone with a Honda BF150 is interested, contact me) and the hydrofoil from it.

Thanks I need one little part off a BF150. I'll reach out to them. How many hours did you have on it and what happened? Hope mine lasts long and prosper or I'll go black like you!

Pat, you will like the Northern Lite. We have the NO 10-2. You will find that you’re going to feel top heavy as compared to the Alaskan. If there is too much sway, consider air bags to level it out, and a Helvig BigWig sway bar!

Congratulations to you and Patty!

It was a 2005, and it was just old and tired, well over 2,000 hours, maybe a lot over. Sportcraft said "the numbers" were bad, I assume they meant compression. It ran but according to West Coast Marine in Bellingham, there was a lot of blow-by (rings?). It was also very salty, which is understandable, 800 hours on the Great Loop and never got fresh water flushed while we cruising in salt water - it was in the water the whole time. We decided to re-power before it left us stranded somewhere. I don't think in the end it owed us anything.
