New owner of C-Belle - 29 Venture

I'm the new owner of C-Belle. She is the 29' Venture in Victoria BC. I am also new to this site and did my research here prior to purchasing her.
My wife, Kelly and I owned (still do) a Seaward Sailboat for many years. Our cruising lifestyle has now evolved into longer distance/shorter time cruising.
Since owning C-Belle we've had little chance to really enjoy her and hope to do more sea trials this spring to see what she can do.
So far I am pretty impressed with her but am limited to be able to compare her to other cruisers of this style.

Congratulations! I have seen that boat around and it's really nice and not heavily used. Are you keeping it in Westport? Maybe we will see each other out on the water. We are in Van Isle.

Howdy, and Welcome. Congratulations. I have seen your boat, and cruised beside it for a while, around the first of July last year, crossing west to east across the top of Saanich Peninsula and over to Swartz Bay. I considered it a privilege to get to cruise and chat for a while.

Cool looking, Had that C-Dory on Steroids look and visually hard to judge the distances because the size is deceiving. Looks like a really nice package.

Hey, Rolly, congratulations on your purchase. I hope to see you out and about in the coming years in and around the Gulf Islands. Have fun, and share some photos and comments as you put more miles on your unique C-Dory. Inquiring minds want to know.

There were several posts by the naval architect for the C Dory 29 where he laid out the modifications to improve the ride of the hull and its efficiency. That would be very worthwhile tracking down.

This is the post by Darron Roop, who was involved with the design of the Venture 29. They were all made in 2008 (to my knowledge) and only a small number--probably less than 6--were made.

Darron's post dealt mainly with some of the perceived "faults" and why the design was made the way it was (wanted to sleep 6 and have a large enough Diesel engine in a trailerable boat less than 30' in length). His suggestion was that wedges be added:
a post-sea trial wedge was never added to the prop tunnel, which is required 9 times out of 10 with my tunnel designs. Typically the boat is trialed without any narrowing of the exit region, and I use data from the trial to size the wedge for optimal efficiency. From the pictures I’ve seen of the boat running, she needs a wedge, or other form of narrowing, to optimize performance. If you have a 29 Venture and would like my assistance with this, please let me know. I view my designs as my children, and want to see all of them doing well.

If I owned one of these boats I would contact:

I was going to post a few photos of this spring with C-Belle but can't figure out how to post them.

Any advise would be helpful. Don't get that Alt +P stuff.
