Could anyone tell me how much bigger the opening might be? I have two batteries in my starboard side and it would be great to get a little more clearance. Michael

The hole really isn't any larger I have two group 24's in my starboard lazarrette so I know what you mean. I'm going to eventually move my batteries under the v-berth. I think we should periodicly bump this topic to bring it to the top. A lot of folks new c-dory's wouldn't know the hatches were available without seeing the post. Thanks again Joel the covers are really great!

I'm prepared to take at least two pairs of covers, if there are not 5 people. What about the rest of you? I can do it today, or it's 2 weeks for me also, so I don't mind waiting.

OK... Lets get this together..... Are you guys in Seattle going to put together a group to buy a full case ??? I told Dan we would get him some hatches.... and if yer going to do it...lets go..

I will order a case and ship them from here if needed...but it would be cheeper for you guys up there to have the case shipped directly to you...

I would like one lazaret cover. How much $ and to whom do I send a check. My shipping address is Jon Cross, 6 Ladera Lane, Santa Fe, NM 87508.

Joel will be shipping the covers to my address and I will reship from here (WA). The covers should arrive sometime next week.

Please get in touch with me directly (4nhand@gmail.com) with your names and addresses - and will have your direct email addresses that way too. I'll get back to you with just what the cost is, once I know shipping from here to you.

All thanks to Joel.

I can't help you. All the ones that came to me were spopken for. If you could get together the need for 5 sets, maybe Joel would be willing to ship more.

From my own situation, I can say these replacement lazerette covers are terrific. No more leakage, and significantly better access because of the larger size.

One comment on the question of what kind of caulk to use: my local fibreglas repair expert said not to use 5200 or silicone. He told me to use Sikaflex caulk. I follow his advice.

I replaced my old (OE) covers with these before last season, and I love the new ones. Keeps things inside the lazarette dry, and the size is slightly larger.

I have a friend who just picked up nice 22 Cruiser in NoCal, and is working to get it into shape and is interested in a pair. (He reads here but does not post ---yet. (Right Bill :wink )

OK..... I will order more cases...but it will be late April or May before I can get the project started again...

I will start a list and notify everyone before I start... Last year the hatches $77.98 a pair plus postage from my home in Chester Ca. to you...(usually $15-$20) I get the hatches in cases of 10 then box them and ship them directly at my cost... I have a resale license so if you live in California I have to charge tax...but everyone else get them tax free.

Late April...or May (when I return to Northern Cal)

I would like to order one set - and may consider a second set to increase access to cuddy space, or port storage compartments under the bench seats.
Thanks
Jim

Joel,

Do you have any of those lazarette covers that are rated for horizontal usage left? If not, what brand are they, and from where can they be ordered?
