New CD 22 Cruiser owner

My wife and I are now official C-brats! We just bought "Tortuga Del Mar" in Stockton CA. Can't wait to get it to my home in Oregon and on Anderson Is. In Puget sound. She is a 2000 Cruiser with 550 hours of use with two EFI 2005 Yamaha High torque 50's with 90 hours on them. . What a dream to run! She was kep in a covered marina in fresh water (only been in salt a few times) and kept on a hoist. She looks almost new. We have been looking since August. I can't seem to get the grin off my face! And feel very lucky to be the first one to see her. Took a quick flight from Portland to Sacramento yesterday.

Congrats on your new family member. She sounds like a real gem. Great that she is in Corvallis (a favorite town of ours, ever since we got to know your town when a kid went to college there). And cruising in the Pac NW will be such a pleasure for you on such a perfect boat. The C-Brats there will welcome you with open arms and we hope you will be able to attend the Gatherings with them this Spring. Enjoy your new 'buddy."

I remember that day for us about 3 1/2 years and hundreds of hours on the boat ago. You're gonna have some fun!
Come to the Friday Harbor CBGT and get christened!
 
Congrats on a beautiful boat!! :beer I saw this posted Friday and was seriously considering it. You beat me to it, it looks great! Hope to see you out there on the Sound this Spring and Summer when we finally bring ours home :smilep
 
The great thing about where you live is you probably have some "soft" water nearby to try it out. I am envious.

I remember when I got my CD 22 forever ago in November, parked it in my 27 X 42 foot shop, and walked by it every single day wishing there was a chance I could take it out, but everything was frozen and the ramps were snowed in. It was torture - there isn't any other way to describe it.

You know, when I finally took out in May, the very first time I let the weight go down to the bottom, I bloodied the boat up with a 50-60 pound halibut just out of Seward. After that, I knew this was going to be a great boat and gave her the name C-Whisperer. That was a heck of a day!!!
 
Thank you all for your kind words. I have gained so much knowledge from this website since first finding it. All of you C-Brats were so helpful to me in making the right decisions on a tow vehicle and a boat. I look forward to actively participating in The C-Brats.
