Yes, the new brochure that Samantha promised to send us when finished did arrive here today. Think She or whoever was responsible for this creation did a wonderful job :beer and am very proud to have three of our photos from our C-Brat albums be a part of it. :thup

To go from longing for a C-Dory for over 20 years to owning and for the last five years going on our own wonderful boating Grand Adventures and fun with fellow C-Brat's at Gatherings and here on this site to seeing our photo's and boat on their new brochure. Well if pride goes before a fall we're heading down face first. :wink

I think that brochure has already shown me its marketing power as a lifestyle statement . We had some folks come in for a small open boat for our calm bay waters . I showed them everything I thought might be good for their needs and of course, they had to look at a C Dory . It was not on their list when they walked in . I slipped the new brochure in their "homework assignment" In a day or two they sent a deposit for a previously loved 19 Angler sight unseen. Thanks to Jay and Jo-Lee and all the folks that made that brochure a statement of the C dory lifestyle . Nice job getting it done to Samantha at C Dory as well !

They made it to Utah as well. Samantha did a fine job on the brochure. Eli has taken to wearing sun glasses around the neighborhood now thats she's famous. Actually I just think she is looking at Baxter in the dingy with Pat. Or maybe she is admiring all of the C-dorys

It is a nice looking piece, and I like the emphasis too. Wow, now all these famous :smiled people to meet, think I will take mine to SBS CBGT 09 and get some signatures. :wink

Does anyone have an address? I would like to get a copy. I was asked if they could use one of my photos and I have not seen the brochure. It was taken on Smuttynose Island in Maine. (Some folks ask the source of my somewhat obscene username).

Thanks, David

Have not received a copy yet, did give permission to use my photos, but neither Baxter nor I signed a MODEL RELEASE!!!! (Just kidding, Samantha).

I am very anxious to see the brochure...the brochure on the Fluid Marine site is STILL the 2004 brochure. They ought to fix that pronto!

Most of this stuff gets done in a PDF form these days. All they need to do is to replaced the PDF on the web site. It's like 5 minutes work and easy.

I think Hood Graphics in Anacortes did the brochure. Connie Hood is the owner, and he does nice work.

I also understand from a recent meeting at Fluid that an update to the C-Dory website is in the works, with new brochure showing up when that is done.

I just got my copy of the new C-Dory brochure - and amazingly, the cover photo is the 2003 CD22 Cruiser Anna Leigh, WN 5548 RL. None of my pix are in the brochure but I am in Jody's Lake Powell pic, in the yellow dinghy behind Daydream on the third page.

Ryan from Sportcraft gave Dee and me one of the new C-Dory brochures last weekend at the Portland Boat Show. Hood Graphics did a very nice job on them for CD. I did notice that the CD 25 Cruiser photo is actually a 26 Venture. But they do show the CD 25 10 other times in the brochure elsewhere. I agree the brochure focuses on the C-Dory lifestyle nicely. Well done!

:wink sharp eyes :idea

They did give the C-Brat albums a credit, and a side-ways C-Brat credit.

It is selling the life style (economic and trailerable) and that will sell the boats (at least for me it works)

Jay - I'm out of the loop. What brochure are they talking about?

The books arrived safely. Edna says thank you.

Sorry you and Jolee have to work and can't make the Seattle boat show.
Bridge Bay at Yellowstone looks better each day. We will probably join you when the ice goes off.

For those of you who haven't experienced the subtle amenities of Bridge Bay Marina, and if the gas prices stay low, a vacation in Yellowstone might be affordable this year.

Boris,

About a month ago when I heard that the new brochure was out, I simply called C-Dory and asked for one. I had it within a week.

Never was much good with a lasso, but think I can get you back in this loop without it.

Fluid Marine, the present maker of C-Dory boats and several others decided to update the sales brochure of the C-Dory Boat line. Samantha Wilson, Marketing Director for Fluid Marine, whom I believe headed up this project asked several of us c-brats if they could use some of our C-Brat album photo's in the new brochure. I was very pleased to see three of Jo-lee's and mine album photos used. This photo of the Farwest 11, Voyager, Hunkydory and the Seaspray with Jo-Lee and Edna walking down the beach and You, El and Steve standing in front of the boats on the beach was one of the three chosen.

Looking forward to seeing you and Edna again and agree if fuel prices stay down or even if they don't Bridge Bay, Marina at Yellowstone Lake would be fine destination spot for more C-Brats and their boats.

Jay

Speaking of feeble brains---need to make a correction, that's the Halcyon in the photo with John's neat boat ramp attached. Just remembered John had the Farwest 11 just alittle further north out of photo down the beach.

Jay

Jay - That is correct. I put the ladder on the Halcyon just to show El how it worked. But she is so nimble, she didn't use it. I did have a radar on the first Far West II, but not the current one. John
