Wanted to introduce ourselves in that we are new to owning a 22 Cruiser 2002, but not new to on the water. We have been sailors since 1972 with our last sailing vessel a Pretorien 35. Rather than go off shore we have chosen to remain close to family/friends. We chose the C-dory over other boats because of what it offers. We also wanted to travel to waters outside of the Pacific Northwest, so the trailed boat. We purchased the boat locally from the original owner.

So, we are looking forward to meeting others. Our first long trip will be to Lake Powell and then maybe south to the Sea of Cortez. I have been to both previously but tooo many years in the past.

The best (I used to say fair winds to my sailing buddys)

We have named our 22 C-Dory / Kestrel

Welcome aboard! Plenty of former and current sailors here. Our boats seem to attract practical types. I call it: a powerboat with a sailing sensibility. We enjoy the heck out of ours, especially that inside, protected helm... makes it easy to keep on cruising. Trailering is a great feature.

Good luck with the transition... oh, and it really isn't "the dark side."

Best wishes,
Jim B.

Welcome aboard. I sailed for many years and the c dory is my first powerboat. I've had a 19 and 22 Kerri On. I have enjoyed the portability and am just back from a 6000 mile walkabout. Will be in Lake Powell for this years gathering. What fun last years was. George

And another welcome from former sailors, also. Lived aboard a Flicka for a number of years cruising the Loop and the eastern rivers.

We look forward to meeting you in the NW this summer - the C-Dory is one fine boat, and a great transition from sail. And fair winds are critical to us as small boaters also - so fair winds to you folks.

Hey guys, Welcome to the best boating site and friendliest boating family anywhere. And from another former sailor. SleepyC is my first power boat too. Come on down to the SBS CBGT end of January and put some faces to all the names.
