New 28 foot C Dory

I AM working, I'm working through my lunch break researching marine propulsion, I may have to go home early due to this lunch hour work. what's your excuse :)

do you suppose that 28 footer will be built like a bigger 25 footer, or, will it be a whole new design....me wonders
 
Have not heard about a 28' C-Dory...What I KNOW, because I saw the drawings in person, is that Dave Livingston has drawn up a larger C-Ranger Tug, don't know if it was 28' or 30'...Wouldn't be surprised at all if these were trotted out at the Boat Show.

Lets not give Oldgrowth any more ideas. If he put a 12 foot extension on his boat it would look like a canoe with a windshield.
 
Pat, No, my source specified it was a C Dory.

That fish reminds me of how I use to feel in my youth when I was trying to prove that I could take on all the marines at the first duty station after a couple of drinks. It is a good way to keep me sober, especially when that fish looks like the mirror I had. Talk abt being down in the mouth. Glad the 50s & 60s are behind; now, I just have to make sure those numbers don't match my behind.
 
The new CD-28,

Its not only longer but wider at 9'6" and the hull is tall enough to have a stand up head in the forward cabin (v-berth area). Seats 4 adults at the dinette (on starboard behind the helm), two at the helm and a one on a fixed co-pilot seat in front of the port side galley.

May have an inboard diesel driving a prop in a half tunnel.

Price??? Should be under $200,000!!! (but over $180,000)

A completed boat could be ready for viewing in May-June 07.

And it looks like a C-Dory!

If this is true--this is quite a departure from the traditional C Dory line--non trailerable and fixed prop inboard. This is interesting, considering the issue with speed/hp on the C Ranger 25. Sounds like a big bite to chew.
