Need prop advice, thank you c-brats

Several years ago I bought a prop which was originally from Traveler, and it was supposed to be the high altitude prop for Yellowstone, etc. I just got it out of the box and it is a 3x,15.5x13. Is this indeed an o.k. prop for a 25 C-Dory at high altitude? Roger

A lot depends on which engine you have. We had a 130 on the C Dory25, and eventually went to a 11" pitch for Powell. We had gone from the 15 to a 13, and that was not down enough. For a 135 or 150 Honda, it should be fine for Lake Powell. If the boat is kept light, probably OK for Yellowstone. What prop are you using now? Generally one drops 2" for 3500 feet and another 2" for 7,000 feet altitude.

Hi Doc, I can't believe I forgot to mention that the engine is a 135 Honda but the Honda 150 should be fine also. Pat and Patty are apparently looking for a Lake Powell prop and this one is extra at this point. Thank you again. Roger
