Just purchased the Canada and USA in HD,for $54 dollars. Spent a couple hours looking at future trip areas Janes Island S.P. Cheaspeake Bay areas ect. When I hit the charts and apps icon trying to look at entire app,in a block it says in 365 days it will run out? My question is after purchasing is it good for lifetime ? Maybee they are referring to the H.D part? Got confused with that saying that,im sure someone on hear will know? Thanks. Other than that like the and info on there, and features and color on screen.

Navionics+ one year subscription includes downloads of Nautical Chart, SonarChart™,and Community Edits that will permanently reside on your device. You also get daily Chart Updates, Advanced Map Options, Navigation Module and, only on iPhone/iPad, Dock-to-dock Autorouting.

I have Navonics on both my I phone and I pad for several years. There has been some down grading, since my year was over. But, the app is still very usable. I just checked them, and most detail, and counters, including the details were good.

I have that app too Larry and really like it. I use it on my Android tablet as a backup to my Raymarine chartplotter. When cruising the ICW we had one screen zoomed out for the big picture while the other was zoomed in. Together they made navigation very easy. I also use the program at home to plan possible voyages - including on lakes which is nice.

Regarding your question, I believe what stops after 1 year of the original purchase is access to community edits and updates, and operation of a few other more specialized functions that you may not need anyway. The program itself will continue to work, understanding some changes might occur over time like would happen with paper charts.

Thanks for replys,do like the app for our I-Pad ,was hoping it didn't have to be renewed each year. When it said after 365 days service ends or how ever it was worded ,it left me unsure about it.
