Hey Gang. Way down this morning due to loosing a great and close friend over the weekend. Jim Maloy was a great man and no telling just how many miles he and I have shared enjoying Auburn University's athletic programs over the years by land and air. Did not make any by water, but did stay on board the Queen Mary in CA for one of the bowl games... I can not even get fired up about going to the Miami Boat Show next weekend. Funeral is on Wednesday. Please keep his wife Jackie and son's Ian & Justin in your prayers.

He had a heart attack working on his boat at the marina on Lake Martin.

So..Yall raise a toast to great friends, and go get on the water with someone you enjoy spending time with soon.

Patrick-

Very sorry to hear of the loss of your dear friend. It's never easy, of course. I lost my best friend back in 1988, and know how you feel. At least he was doing what he loved when it happened. I hope I'm lucky enough to see the end in one of my boats. Hope you can accept it and get on with everything soon. Joe.

Pat,

We are sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. Dee and I lost her cousin and our friend last fall. We will be taking him out to his favorite fishing spot south of San Juan Island, (East Bank) when his wife Emily is ready. Our thoughts will be with you and his family.

Don and Dee

Our condolences, Byrdman. I wish there were words we could write to ease the pain, but know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and Jim's family. We will certainly raise a glass this evening.

With sympathies,
Jim & Joan Bathurst

Pat,

I am so very sorry to hear of your friend's passing. Was your dear friend Jim Maloy a pharmacist? I knew a Jim Maloy who was a pharmacist and lived in Montgomery AL. We were in the service and stationed in Washington DC together and good friends. Over the years, we lost contact with each other. The Jim Maloy I knew was working for a mutual friend in pharmaceutical clinical research. If indeed they are one and the same, the World lost a really great guy.

Sincerely,
Rollie/C-Batical

Patrick -

So sorry, friend. My boat name is from a similar loss. Thank you for considering all of us close enough friends to share the story with us here.

C-Pearl,

Thank you for sharing the link. The unfortunate news of Jim's passing has come as a real shock to me. Jim and I are the same age, within two days, and followed very similar career paths. Jim, Henry Frazer, who Jim worked with at Drug Research and Analysis, and I were stationed together in Washington DC. We hung around together and I was the "Yankee" they both liked to pick on. I will never forget my bachelor's party when Jim brought his six-pack of Coca-Cola to drink while we all played cards and sipped on something a little stronger. He will be sorely missed by his family, friends and community.

Regards,
Rollie/C-Batical

BYRDMAN,
I'LL TOAST TO YOUR FRIENDSHIP WITH JIM, AND HIS PASSING, AS WELL AS, TO ALL OUR FRIENDS WHO HAVE PASSED, WITHOUT REGARD TO TIME NOR DATE.
MY TOAST OF CHOICE IS ONE WHICH I'VE MODIFIED A TAD.

MAY THE WATERS RISE UP TO MEET YOU,
MAY THE WIND BE ALWAYS AT YOUR BACK,
MAY THE SUNSHINE WARM YOUR FACE,
AND THE RAINS FALL SOFTLY UPON YOUR BOW.
AND UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, MAY GOD HOLD YOU
IN THE PALM OF HIS HANDS.

TIME DOES NOT HEAL ALL WOUNDS, ALTHOUGH IT WILL SOFTEN
THE STING OF LOSS.

YOUR C-BRAT FRIEND
PAT
