Ordered the lettering from lettering.com (which you can reach from a lot of different urls it appears) with their dark green, and a gold shadow.
I was initially quite disappointed with the fact that the dark green on their website was quite a lot "greener" than what I got (and I have a monitor calibrated for photography), as I was trying to kind match the C-Dory green stripe color. But now we kind of like it. However, I may have liked black with either a green or gold shadow better.
I could not figure out the attachment instructions (how do you attach tape to the top, then reach underneath and remove the backing??), but since we were applying the letters individually (we wanted to arch them, and needed larger letters for the first letter of each word, so had to order two different orders), I was able to find a different way to line them up and attach. Not a job I'd want full time
We initially planned to have bigger letters like everyone recommends so they can be seen from a distance, but we put up some larger printed letters of the same font and it was just too overwhelming for the boat for us. And, we're a small port, so....
Overall, the letters seem kind of thin, but I don't have anything to compare them to, so pretty pleased with the result, we're going to put a whale pic or something underneath the letters. In my eagerness to get them on, I didn't properly prepare the surface, so "my bad" if (when!) they come off
